I am excited to share that we have been hard at work planning our next Veteran and Community Connections Expo (details below), which is set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 11th, at Wells Conference Center, University of Maine at Orono.
Attached is the flyer for the event in Orono on Saturday, January 11, 2024.We would ask that you help us spread the word about this event, and encourage any Veteran, Service Member, or family to attend!
Requests:
Our shared passion for serving those who have served us is at the heart of these initiatives, and I believe that together we can make a significant impact. As we continue to support our Service Members, Veterans, Survivors, and their families, it's essential to remember the importance of spreading awareness about the benefits and services they have rightfully earned. Many individuals may not fully understand what is available to them or may lack strong connections within their communities.
I am excited to share that we will be organizing this event to focus on bridging this gap. We believe the Veterans and Community Connection Expo will play a vital role in connecting our community with valuable information and support services. This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn about the incredible Federal, State, and local resources available to Service Members, Veterans, Survivors, and their families.
During these events, participants will have the opportunity to connect with mental health services, engage with representatives who can assist in building important community ties, and learn about safe-storage options aimed at preventing Veteran suicide.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication to this important cause, and for your continued support.
